Subject: Yay! Water!
Fun trip to the water treatment plant! A group of fascinated schoolkids go to the Water Works to find out how the water gets from the lake to the taps. The superintendent looks like a guy I wouldn't trust my kids around. The whole film is actually quite breezy, the film skips over a few things but that's ok.

I'm almost sure this is another EB production filmed in the toney northshore suburbs of Chicago because that was undoubtably Lake Michigan partly identifiable by its high bluff.

Just like the kids, this film made me thirsty too.

A typical rundown of a typical water purification plant. Quite well done. Thank you Encyclopaedia Brittanica Fillums, and thank you RP.

Very nicely done educational film. I work in the 21st Century version of the type of water plant that was visited here. With a couple of exceptions, they still treat YOUR water this way if it comes from a lake or river.
